2 die on the spot in Dhading lorry-motorbike collision
DHADING: Two persons died on the spot when a motorcycle they were riding on collided with a tipper lorry in Dhunibesi Municipality-9 of Dhading district along the Tribhuvan Highway this morning.
Police identified the deceased as Shalin Tuladhar (23) of Tripureshwar and Rameshwar Silwal (22) of Babarmahal, both the residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
The lorry (Ba 2 kha 7182) heading to Kathmandu from Gajuri collided head-on with the motorcycle (Ba 82 Pa 7797) heading towards Gajuri from Kathmandu killing the motorcycle riders at Tile Ghar, near Naubise in Nagdhunga-Naubise road section, at around 8:30 am today, according to the District Police Office, Dhading.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu for the postmortem, police informed.
Meanwhile, the Khanikhola-based Area police Office has impounded the four-wheeler and detained its driver for the investigation into the case.
