ROLPA: At least two persons died and one dozen injured in a passenger jeep accident on Pang Village Development Committee of Rolpa district, on Wednesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Setu Pun (25) Gumchal-4 and Ganbir Khatri (17) of Pang-9.

According to the Area Police Office, Sulichaur, the incident occurred when the bus (Lu 1 Pa 5625) heading towards Pang VDC from Sulichaur fell off 50 metre down from the road.

The injured were rushed to the Sulichaur Primary Health Care Centre for treatment with the help of local people and police. Out of 12, seriously injured seven have been referred to Neplagunj-based hospital, police added.

Police said they have intensified the search to nab the absconding jeep driver.
