2 die in road accidents

Two people have died in separate accidents in the valley in the last two days, according to the central police news cell.

Prabhat Sharma, an Indian resident who had been staying in Samakosi in Kathmandu was critically injured when his motorcycle numbered Ba.5.Pa-6219 collided with a microbus yesterday. Having been taken to ‘Teaching Hospital’ immediately, he died due to his injuries the same day. Mohan Karki, who was also on the bike, is being treated for normal wounds. The police have arrested the driver of the microbus and are conducting a further investigation on the matter.

In a separate incident, Chet Bahadur Timilsina who was injured when a minibus hit his motorbike also passed away. He had been taken to ‘B and B Hospital’. He was travelling from Bhaktapur to Kathmandu on his bike numbered Ba.7.Pa-8239. Police authorities are carrying out the necessary investigations.
