2 die in two different road accidents
RAUTAHAT: Two persons died and one severely injured in two different accidents in Rautahat and Bara districts on Thursday.
According to Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur, the incident occurred when the passenger carrying bus (Na 5 Kha 1441) and motorcycle (Na 15 Pa 6222) collided with each other in the jungle of Chandrapur Municipality-6 of Rautahat district along the East- West Highway.
The bus was heading towards Kathmandu from Bardibas of Mahotarri district, while the motorcycle was heading towards Nijgad from Bagmati of Sarlahi.
Sonman Bal (32) of Dhiyal VDC-9 of Makwapunr district died on the spot while pillion rider Chandraman Sangatan was severely injured in the incident informed police.
Police further said, Sangatan is referred to Bharatpur-based hospital after receiving primary treatment at Chandranigahpur Hospital.
The bus driver Dhundi Raj Rai (50) of Dhanushadham Municipality-9 is under police custody for the investigation.
The body of deceased has been sent for the postmortem informed police.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist had died when a motorcycle and a pickup van collided with each other in Bajinitol of Gadimai in Bara district.
According to District Police Office, Bara the incident occurred when the pickup van (Ba 10 Cha 2063) heading towards Birgunj from Simara collided with the motorcycle (Na 2 Pa 6099) coming from opposite direction.
The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Shah (35) of Rampurtokani-3 of the district.
The van driver Pramod Deb Mandal Amatya(32) of Biratnagar Municipality-6 was arrested for further investigation.
