KATHMANDU: Two persons died and another sustained critical injuries after a truck hit a motorbike they were riding on at Dhadhawar-6 in Bardiya district on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Arjun Tharu (29) of Dhadhawar-3 and Pradip Tharu (22) of Dhadhawar-2.

According to police, the truck (Na 6 Kha 6267) hit the motorbike (Ra 1 Pa 7833) at around 11:30 pm yesterday.

Sanjay Tharu (23) of Katarniya, who was critically injured in the accident, is being treated at the District Hospital.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for further investigation.
