HETAUDA: Two persons died and five others sustained injuries after a lorry crushed a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15 of Makawanpur district, along the East-West Highway on Tuesday.

According to Makawanpur District Police Office, the lorry (NL 01 D 8031) was being lifted by a crane when it fell onto the motorcycle (Ba 66 Pa 6213) and the auto (Na 1 Ha 8824) that were passing by at the time, killing the motorcyclist and auto-rickshaw driver on the spot. Both vehicles were en route from Hetauda to Bara. The lorry had overturned onto its side on the road earlier this morning.

Meanwhile, the injured are undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital and Chure Hill Hospital, Hetauda, informed Makawanpur District Police Office Chief Superintendent of Police, Mukesh Kumar Singh.
