KATHMANDU: Two persons including a minor died after being hit by a mini-truck at Madanchok in Kohalpur-3 of Banke district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Sita Devi Pokharel (58) and her granddaughter Prashansha Panta (2) of the same area.

The truck (Se 1 Kha 1324) heading towards east from west hit the duo at around 10:30 am today.

Sita Devi died on the spot while Prashansha breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Medical College in Kohalpur, police informed.

Police have impounded the vehicle and detained its driver for further investigation.
