KALAIYA: Two persons were killed and four others injured in a socket bomb blast at 7:30 pm Tuesday in Feta VDC 9.

The deceased have been identified as Arun Mukhiya 16, and his brother Kailas Mukhiya 22, sons of Shiva Pujan Mukhiya, local residents of Feta VDC 9.

Meanwhile the injured have been identified as Shiva Pujan Mukhiya his wife Ramba Devi Mukhiya, Lal Babu Mukhiya, residents of Feta VDC 9, Bara and Chote Lal Mukhiya, a local resident of India. The injured are undergoing treatment at Narayani Sub Regional Hospital, Birgunj.

According to Rameshowor Yadhav, a police inspector, Arun Mukhiya under the influence of alcohol set off the bomb after an argument with his family.
