JHAPA: Two persons were killed when a motorcycle they were riding on collided with a bus in Jhapa district on Tuesday night.

The identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained, said police.

The incident occurred when the bus (Ko 1 Kha 2988) heading towards Jhapa from Ilam district collided with the motorcycle (Me 3 Pa 5473) killing its riders.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian, Santa Maya Tamang (60) of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality was critically injured when the same bus hit her.

She has been undergoing treatment at the Birtamod-based B&C Hospital.

Police are looking into the case.
