INARUWA: Two persons died in a tractor accident at Itahari-19 in Sunsari along the East-West Highway on Thursday morning.

One of the deceased has been identified as Gaurav Raya Chhetri (20) of Narayangarh, Chitwan while the identity of another is yet to ascertained, according to the District Police Office, Sunsari.

The accident took place when the tractor (Sa 1 Ta 3288) heading towards east from west hit a culvert after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Both of them died on the way to the District Hospital, Inaruwa, said Superintendent of Police, Poshraj Pokharel.

The bodies have been kept at the hospital for post-mortem, police said.

Polie said that they have impounded the vehicle.
