MORANG: Two teenagers attending the Hurra Naach – a dance performance of the Magar community – died in a khukuri attack at Letangbhogateni Municipality – 5 in Morang on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Deepen Gurung (15) and Suman Gurung (18) of Kerabari – 9 of Morang.

The incident occurred at around 1 am.

Critically injured in the attack, the Gurung duo breathed their last during the course of treatment at the Nobel Hospital at Biratnagar, said Inspector Ganeshman Shrestha of Area Police Office, Letang.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
