224 Rotary shelter boxes for flood victims
Kathmandu, September 1:
The Rotary affiliated ShelterBox Trust together with the Rotary and Rotaract Club of Kastamandap and FNCCI handed over 224 shelter boxes to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund today.
A release issued here by the Rotary Club stated that the boxes contain essentials such as tents, sleeping mats and bags, blankets, mosquito nets, cooking utensils, stoves and water purification kits. These boxes are expected to provide relief to around 2240 victims. The aid is valued at Rs 12.5 million.
This is an international effort jointly initiated by the Shelter Box Trust and the Rotary and Rotaract clubs of Kasthamandap to provide temporary shelters and other associated aid for the victims of Saptakoshi flood.
