BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan, will add 25 more MBBS seats from this academic session.

The total number of MBBS seats there is now 100.

“We had to add seats because of pressure of applications,” vice-chancellor professor Dr Lok Bikram Thapa said.

BPKIHS will also increase 10 seats in BSc nursing and 20 in nursing proficiency. Thapa said there won’t be any change in BDS stream, which has 40 seats .

According to officials, 514 students graduated, including 62 MDs, 203 MBBS doctors and 54 BSc nurses.
