BHOJPUR: As many as 270 earthquake survivors in Bhojpur have received the third instalment of the government grant for reconstruction of houses, till date.

According to Grant Management and Local Infrastructure Office of Bhojpur District Project Implementation Unit, only 270 households of the total 5,167 earthquake victims have received the third instalment of the housing grant.

The office informed that 2,536 households have received the second instalment of the housing grant while 5,071 others received Rs 50,000 as the first instalment of the housing grant.

According to Hari Krishna Dahalm a staffer at the office, one of the recipients of the first tranche has returned the amount explaining the family problems.
