3 airlifted to Trauma centre in Sindhuli jeep fall

KATHMANDU: At least nine students were injured, three critically, when a jeep skidded off the road and fell some 20 metres down the road along the Bardibas-Sindhuli road section at Kamalamai Municipality in Sindhuli district this evening.

According to Sindhuli District Police Office three critically injured have been air lifted to Trauma Centre in Kathmandu for treatment.

Meanwhile, the other injured victims are undergoing treatment at the Sindhulimadi-based District Hospital.

Police said the cause of the accident was due to high speed where the driver lost control at a sharp bend along the highway.

It has been learned that the Bolero pick-up van (Ja 1 Cha 1298) ferrying local products had illegally boarded school children after their school in the area.
