TULSIPUR: Police have arrested three persons and seized 5.2 kilograms of opium from Dang district on Monday.

The arrestees have been identified as Shaktiram Woli (31) of Pachawang in Rolpa district, currently living in Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Alan Kumar Rokamagar (27) of Bhume Rural Municipality-8, and Dev Bahadur Oli (28) of Bhume Rural Municipality-6 in Rukum district.

Acting on a special tip-off, a team of police deployed from Tulsipur-based Provincial Police office, Province 5 and Dang-based District Police Office, arrested the trio and confiscated the contraband, informed Superintendent of Police (SP) Durga Singh at District Police Office, Dang.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said Dang police.
