GAUSHALA: Three persons died due to excessive consumption of alcohol in Mahottari on Sunday.

According to SP Janak Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Mahottari, the deceased have been identified as Ram Brichya Mallik (70) his son Prakash Mallik (30) of Sahasaula VDC – 6 and Pancha Mallik of Gaushala Municipality – 7.

According to a preliminary investigation, they drank alcohol at a liquor store belonging to one Binod Mahara at Sahasaula Chok till 10 pm last night and left for their houses.

Police said that they might have died between 2 am to 4 am.

Meanwhile, Badri Mallik of Aurahi VDC – 3 and the store owner Binod Mahara also fell ill after consuming the same liquor.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
