BHOJPUR: Three members of a same family sustained critical injuries after a pick-up van slammed into a house in Ankhisalla-4 of Dhankuta District on Tuesday afternoon.

The injured have been identified as Jatan Rai (70), Krishna Kumari Rai (58) and Bibhuti Rai (12).

According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, the injured are receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institue of Health Sciences in Dharan.

Police said that the incident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle (Ko 1 Jha 2122) heading towards Hile bazaar from Chintang in the district.

Police have impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation.
