Ramechhap, May 18:

Three persons were killed and several injured in mishaps across the country in the past 24 hours.

In Ramechhap, Netra Bahadur Pakhrin, 70, of Okhreni died on the spot when he was gripped by the conveyor belt at a mill in Chyasku Bhanjyang last night. Dambar Maya Danuwar, 75, was killed on the spot when a truck hit her in Udaypur yesterday.

In Bhairahawa, a girl, Sabnam Banu of Grade III at Manakamana School, was killed today, after a tractor ran over her. In Sarlahi, seven Armed Border Security Force personnel were hurt when their vehicle met with an accident today. The injured include SI Umesh Kumar Budhathoki.
