JAJARKOT: Three persons died on the spot and seven others sustained injuries when a van they were travelling on got into an accident at Gurans Rural Municipality of Dailekh district today morning.

Identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained, informed District Police Office (DPO), Dailekh.

The Hiace van (Bhe 1 Ja 1029) en route to Dailekh from Surkhet fell some 300 metres below the road at Mugra, Gurans-4 in the district.

The injured are receiving treatment at Kalagaun-based provincial hospital in Surkhet, added Dailekh DPO. A rescue mission was carried out by locals and police personnel deployed from Ranimatta Police Post.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway.
