CHITWAN: As many as four persons died and eight others sustained injuries after a microbus collided with a truck along the Prithvi Highway in Ichchhakamana Rural municipality-3 of Chitwan district today.

According to Chitwan District Police Office, the microbus (Ga 1 Kha 7692) en route from Pokhara to Kathmandu collided head-on with the truck (Na 6 Kha 4046) heading towards Muglin from Kathmandu, at Panidhara in Chumlingtar, at around 7:00 am today. The truck fell about 50 metres below the road in the collision impact, police informed.

All the deceased were the microbus passengers, police said. Meanwhile, all the injured including the truck driver, have been rescued by the security personnel deployed from Muglin Police Post.

The injured were rushed to the Bharatpur Hospital.
