30 police personnel in Kailali disciplined, in eight months
DHANGADHI: Kailali District Police Office has taken departmental action against 30 personnel in the period of eight months in the current fiscal year 2075/76 BS.
According to the DPO, as many as seven police constables were suspended, salary increment of another one was halted, and three others were dismissed from their job.
Likewise, the service facilities made available for security personnel have been reduced to low scale for a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), two Assistant Sub Inspectors of Police (ASI), a Head Constable and eight Police Constables. Similarly, a Police Inspector and a Head Constable and three Constables faced minor penalties, while an Inspector and a Constable were issued a warning, the DPO informed.
Superintendent of Police Abhusan Timsina said as many as 26 police personnel were rewarded while others working against the police code of conduct were disciplined.
Meanwhile, rewarded personnel are a DSP, four Inspectors, two Sub Inspectors, eight Head Constables, 10 Constables, and a Police Office Assistant.
It has been reported that internal cleansing has been carried out in the police organisation that works round-the-clock maintaining peace, security, law and order. Actions are taken against the security personnel violating the Police 'Chain of Command'.
Meanwhile, the DPO has installed LED TV sets at five different places to conduct public awareness programmes. Similarly, community police partnership programmes have also been conducted in 13 local levels in the district.
