3,000 fill forms for temporary police posts

Sindhulimadi, March 30

As many as 3,000 people, male and female, have filled the forms for temporary police posts for the upcoming civic polls in the District Police Office, Sindhuli.

The government had announced vacancies for temporary police posts for local level polls scheduled for May 14. The DPO has issued a notice to all interested candidates to apply for the posts within seven days.

DSP Subash Chandra Bohora said that around 650 temporary police personnel were needed for polls in the district.

DSP Bohora further informed that priority would be given to former Nepali Army and police personnel, who were engaged in earlier elections.

Police said people from neighbouring districts such as Mahottari and Sarlahi had also come to fill the forms in the DPO.

Temporary police will be appointed to assist the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force teams for the elections in 137 polling booths in Sindhuli.

Tanahun youths apply in droves

DAMAULI:  A large number of youths have applied for the job of temporary police  force in Tanahun. According to SP Umeshraj Joshi, more than 1,575 youths  have applied for the temporary job.

Of those who have applied, 150 are  women. In view of the crowd of the applicants, police have fixed two  places for receiving applications. There are 1,000 posts of temporary  police for the district.
