HETAUDA, SEPTEMBER 22
At least 31 passengers were injured when a bus, a truck, and an empty oil tanker collided near Bastipur in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan-19 on Monday afternoon, police said.
According to the Makawanpur District Police Office, a passenger bus (Na 6 Kha 2119) heading from Chitwan to Birgunj suffered a tire burst and veered out of control, striking a goods truck (Na 6 Kha 8180) coming from Hetauda. The truck then rammed an empty oil tanker (Na 7 Kha 1774) bound for Bara from Kathmandu.
All the injured were rescued and taken to Hetauda Hospital and CMC Churehill Hospital for treatment, police spokesperson DSP Shyamu Aryal said, adding that two victims are in serious condition.
