GAIGHAT: Udayapur Police have taken a pick-up van loaded with 32 cooking gas cylinders under control from Triyuga Municipality of Udayapur on Tuesday night.

Police have also kept van driver Krishna Bahadur Tamang in custody for investigation.

Meanwhile, SP Nar Bahadur KC of District Police Office, Udayapur said that a police team deployed from DPO had taken the vehicle loaded with LPG cylinders heading to Gaighat from Deurali of the municipality.

He said police had arrested the driver as he might have been involved in black-marketing. KC further added that investigation into the case was under way.

It is said that the seized cooking gas belonged to Deurali-based Krishna Enterprises. SP KC said that action would also be taken against the enterprises.
