NAWALPARASI: As many as 32 passengers were injured when a bus overturned and fell about 10 metres below the road in Daunne of Bardaghat Municipality in Nawalparasi district on Saturday.

The injured are said to be out of danger.

The accident took place when the bus (Na 6 Kha 2946) heading towards Kathmandu from Nepalgunj overturned in Daunne along the East-West Highway this morning, informed police.

According to Inspector Tek Bahadur Rawaut, 12 persons among the injured are undergoing treatment at the Butwal-based hospitals while the rest of them at local health centres in Bardaghat.

Preliminary investigation points to over-speeding as the cause of the incident.
