Baitadi: A light earthquake was recorded in Baitadi and Darchula district this afternoon.

Ratna Mani Gupta, Chief of Seismology Office in Surkhet, said, "The earthquake measuring 4.5 magnitude occurred at 1:30 pm. The epicentre was in an area 30 kms north from Gokuleshwor of Baitadi and Darchula bordering area."

Police said that no human casualty was reported in the quake.
