BHOJPUR: As many as four persons were injured after the tractor they were travelling on plunged off the road in Salpasilichho Rural Municipality-6 of Bhojpur district on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as tractor driver Uddhav Tamang (20) of Salpasilichho Rural Municipality-4, driver's assistant Sanukaji Tamang (22) of Sindhuli district, passengers Bimal Bk (15) and Mausam Khatri (15) both residents of Salpasilichho Rural Municipality-5 in the district.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Na 6 Ta 2680) en route from Salewa to Dobhane lost its control and plunged some 100 metres below the road in Purano Gaun at around 4:30 pm yesterday, informed Provincial Police Office, Biratnagar.

The injured were rushed to the Sankhuwasabha District Hospital where they are undergoing treatment, said police.

According to police, the tractor driver will be detained after he has been discharged from the hospital.
