JHAPA:  Four members of a single family were taken ill after consuming poisonous mushroom in Shantidanda, Illam on Friday.

Kajiman Rai, his wife Phulmaya Rai, son Sandip and daughter Sangita fell sick after they ate mushroom curry in the morning. They were brought to Jhapa for treatment.

Police said their condition is critical. Meanwhile, one person was injured in a wild boar’s attack in Jamuna Village Development Committee, Ilam. He was attacked by the beast in a local forest where he had gone to collect fodder in the morning. He has received multiple injuries to various parts of his body.

After he couldn’t be treated in Ilam, he was brought to Jhapa for treatment.
