Chitwan, December 21:

Police arrested 40 persons after youths affiliated to Narayani Yatayat and Chautari Yatayat indulged in a fight at Pulchowk today.

Police seized 26 weapons from the warring sides. The clash took place after youths affiliated to Narayani Yatayat attacked some youths affiliated to Chautari Yatayat. In the clash, the booking office of Chautari Yatayat, booking counters of Narayani Yatayat at Pulchowk and Bus Park and six motorcycles belonging to the Chautari Yatayat staffs were damaged.

Narayani Yatayat Bharatpur branch office chief, Shankar Giri, said the two sides have reached an agreement to hold talks tomorrow.
