SAPTARI: As many as 400 vehicles have been escorted by police to their destinations in Saptari districts as the vehicles were stranded in different parts of the district due to an indefinite strike in Tarai region.

The normal life of people in the district has been severely affected by the ongoing strike enforced by agitating Madhes-based political parties for the past 45 days.

The goods-laden trucks and other vehicles carrying passengers were sent to their destinations including Sunsari and Siraha districts too, informed Narayan Prasad Chimauriya, Deputy Superintendent of Police.
