4,015 staffers to be deployed for civic polls in Morang

More than 4,000 staffers will be deployed for the second phase of local level elections in Morang.

According to Regional Election Office, Biratnagar, as many as 4,015 staffers from various offices will be deployed for the civic polls.

The office added that 669 voting centres in 300 polling stations have been announced for one sub-metropolitan, eight municipalities and eight rural municipalities in

the district.

Information Officer Bhakta Bahadur Bhattarai at the election office said that as many as 4,015 staffers apart from security personnel are being deployed in the voting centres.

Bhattari added that the work of selecting the staffers and their management was almost complete.

He said training programme for computer operators has been organised for elections. “The office has been preparing in full swing even though the date has been postponed,” Bhattarai said.
