42,000 quake-damaged houses rebuilt in Dolakha

The reconstruction of 42,000 houses has been completed in Dolakha.
National Reconstruction Authority Earthquake Resistance Reconstruction Department, Dolakha, said that reconstruction work on 42,227 houses was over in the district.
Chief Engineer at the department Nirmal Darsan Acharya said as many as 40,439 families, who completed reconstruction of their houses, had received the third instalment grant, and 1,788 other beneficiaries had applied for the third instalment.
According to the department, 49,775 beneficiaries, who were reconstructing their houses, also received the second instalment grant and 925 have applied for the second instalment. As many as 68,761 families were in the list of beneficiaries in the district.
Acharya said houses were reconstructed with the help of donor agencies at Orang Gaun of Bigu Rural Municipality and Yarsha Gaun of Baiteshwor Rural Municipality. “The reconstruction drive will be complete within the set time, if the same pace continues in other places,” he said.
