46 Dhading migrant folks reported missing abroad
DHADING: At least 46 persons from Dhading district who have gone to foreign countries for employment have still been reported missing.
According to the Save Migration Project run by Chandrajyoti Unified Rural Development Society Dhading under Information and Counseling Centre, reported most of them were said to be missing in Malaysia.
Most of them dreamt of earning handsomely in abroad to solve their family ordeal, however, lost contact with families, adding more pain and misery in their plight.
With a hope of giving happiness to their families by earning abroad, most of them had acquired loan in high interest rate after putting collateral to local lenders.
According to the Dhading District Administration Office, annually at least 9,500 person acquire passport with the motive of heading abroad for greener pasture abroad.
It has been reported that around 90 percent of unskilled persons of creative aged around 18-25 have been found languishing in foreign land after failing to meet their job descriptions.
The Coordinator at the Information and Counseling Centre Ganga Subedi informed that out of 400 incidents registered at the centre, 147 cases had variance in their salary and job description, 64 swindled in Nepal, 46 reported missing, 14 waiting rescue after failing sick in abroad, four prisoned and 17 dead cases.
It has been learned that most of the Dhading folks head to Malaysia, Qatar, Dubai and Oman for jobs.
