KATHMANDU, AUGUST 20
A quake of ML 4.8 shook the earth around Banke district of Lumbini Province early at 1.28am on Saturday.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre said that the epicentre was around Khadakwar, Hattisar of the district.
Likewise, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake had a depth of 30 km and ran across 60 km NE of Lakhimpur, India and 5 km WNW of Gulariya, Nepal. (The details from the national and international sources may differ to comply.)
Three more earthquakes have already been recorded since the 6ML earthquake that shook Khotang on July 31.
On August 5th, a 5.3ML quake shook Nuwakot, while on the 18th a 4.2ML quake was recorded in Sindhupalchowk. Finally, the recent most one was this morning in Banke.
