CHITWAN: A woman went missing after reportedly jumping  into the Narayani River on Friday.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, Des Kumari Sherpa (48) of Dangsing VDC of Kaski district jumped into the River at around 8:15 am today.

The identity of the woman was ascertained on the basis of a bag police found from the place where she jumped into the River.

A joint police team deployed from the Ward Police Office, Narayangarh and Area Police Office, Gaidakot is searching for her.

The reason behind the incident, however, is not immediately known, police said.
