PHIDIM: As many as five members of a single family were taken ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Aangna of Panchthar district on Tuesday.

Members of the family of Padam Maya Manglak, of Aangna VDC-1 in Panchtar district had consumed the mushrooms in their dinner on Tuesday after collecting them from a nearby jungle.

The victims have been identified as Padam Maya, her 16-year-old son Ram Prasad and three daughters Kabita (13); Manusha (8) and Sony (5).

The youngest daughter's conditions is said to be critical.

Meanwhile, they have been receiving treatment at the Panchthar Hospital.
