BAGLUNG, FEBRUARY 6
Minister of Education, Science, and Technology Devendra Poudel said he had introduced a 55-point reform plan for the education sector.
The points include issues facing teachers, students and the administration such as quality education, improved physical infrastructure, and recruitment of additional teachers, Minister Poudel said at a press meet organised by Press Centre, Balgung, here today.
He informed that a plan was afoot to recruit 18,000 teachers by managing necessary quotas.
Similarly, professional development of teachers is another important task ahead. New quotas for teachers would be created by studying school-teacher ratio. Three bills are being drafted by the government for education reform.
The bills on federal education, university, and technical education are ready to be tabled in the Parliament, according to him. He further argued that once these bills are passed, they would pave the way for reform in the entire education sector.
