6 girls rescued from western border checkpoint

KANCHANPUR: At least six girls have been rescued from the Gadda post in western border checkpoint on Wednesday.

The girls were rescued from Indian bordering city, Banbasa, yesterday with joint efforts from Maiti Nepal and Nepal Police, said Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur Coordinator Maheswori Bhatta.

An adolescent girl aged 17 of Belauri, Kanchanpur, was rescued from Banbasa, he shared.

Likewise, one of them is from Nuwakot, one from Khotang and three other rescued are from Sindhupalchok.

They were about to leave for Kirgizstan and Oman for employment via New Delhi, when they were rescued.
