DOLAKHA: At least six people died and 12 sustained injuries after a bus they were travelling in plunged into a river in Chautara Sangachowkgadi Municipality-10 of Sindhupalchowk district today. Four persons are missing in the accident.

The Shailungshori Yatayat bus (Ba 2 Kha, 7245) was en route to Kathmandu from Maga Deurali of Shailung Rural Municipality-3 in Dolakha when it skidded off the road and fell some 100 meters into the Sunkoshi River at Sukute this afternoon, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhav Prasad Kafle at  District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk.

All the injured have been rescued and sent to Dhulikhel Hospital and Om Hospital for further treatment, informed police.

Meanwhile, search is on for the missing persons.
