CHITWAN, OCTOBER 27
Road accidents in Bagmati province have claimed 60 lives and injured 1,030 individuals over the past three months, as reported by the Nepal Police Highway Safety and Traffic Management Office, Chitwan.
A total of 397 accidents occurred in 10 districts between mid-August and mid-October of the current fiscal year 2081/82.
During the same period, traffic police collected Rs 27.9 million in fines from 35,085 traffic rule violators. To enhance safety, authorities are monitoring vehicle speeds on the East-West Highway using CCTV and radar guns.
