63 found playing truant in offices

As many as 63 government employees, including office chiefs, were found absent when the government offices were cross-checked in Jhapa today.
A joint team from National Vigilance Centre and District Administration Office, Jhapa, cross-checked 21 government offices of the district today.
As many as 14 staffers, including District Technical Office Chief engineer Susil Shrestha were found absent.
Similarly, a total of 12 staffers including tax officers Humalal Bhattarai and Navaraj Bhattarai were absent from the Inland Revenue Office, said Sher Bahadur Dhungana, under secretary at National Vigilance Centre.
In addition, as many as 14 staffers of District Post Office, 11 of District Development Committee, three of District Education Office, four of District Public Health Office, among others, were found absent, according to Dhungana.
Three staffers of District Technical Office and a similar number of staffers of Nepal Telecom were found to have violated the dress code. “The staff, who were absent from their offices without reporting and were negligent, have been summoned at District Administration Office,” added Dhungana.
