Janakpurdham, May 14:

The Janakpur municipality gave pink slips to 65 temportary staffs, who had been working there for years, without prior notice. But the officials receiving the release letters say that it is a ploy of the appointed municipality officials to employ people of their interest in the now vacant posts. The officials were informed of their release through a public notice posted on the notice board minutes before the closure of office saying their term had expired and that it would not be extended. However, the reason for not extending their terms was not disclosed. Agitated by the sudden decision to oust them from their jobs, the retiring staffs have warned of strong resistance against the the decision.
