7 including DSP injured

Sarlahi, November 7:

Irate students of Sarlahi campus today ransacked and torched government and private drug stores.

Seven persons, including a DSP, were injured in the incident.

The students became agitated following the death of an assistant lecturer, Ram Ekwal Ray, yesterday. They alleged that he died due to the negligence of the Sarlahi Hospital in Malangwa. Acting CDO of Sarlahi, Narayanraj Timilsina, said property worth about Rs 2 million was damaged. DSP Birendra Shrestha, head constable Jitendra Jha and constables Mahurendra Singh, Prakash Bhujel and Bhupendra Shah, were injured in the incident, the chief of the Sarlahi police, Madhav Raj Joshi, said.
