7 hurt in bus accident after driver saw "headless woman"

DAMAULI: Seven persons, including an Indian national, were injured after a night bus turned turtle along the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun district on Sunday night.

The bus (Lu 2 Kha 505) was heading towards Kathmandu from Burtiwang of Baglung when it met with the accident at Sirdi of Byas Municipality, said Tanahun District Police Office.

The accident apparently took place after the driver hallucinated when he was behind the wheel. The driver told police that he saw "two roads ahead after a headless woman tried to stop the bus".

The injured have been identified as Rupa BK (31), Bishnu Maya BK (42), Maya Kharel (44) and Krishna Budha (30) Baglung, Chandra Kumari Tamag (34) of Kavre and Sunil Saha (20) of Ranchi in India.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Damauli-based Ratnahari Hospital and Pokhara-based Manipal Teaching Hospital.
