PHIDIM: Police on Monday said eight houses and four cowsheds were gutted in a fire in Hilihang Rural Municipality-7 in Panchthar district today.

It has been learned that the fire was extended from a nearby forest in Subhang, informed DSP Nakul Pokharel.

No human casualty has been reported. However, the details of the damage are yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the locals along with the security personnel deployed from the Phidim, the district headquarters, are trying to contain the inferno.
