8 hurt as Pokhara AANFSU members engage in clash among themselves
POKHARA: At least eight persons were injured in a clash among members of theĀ All Nepal National Free Students Union (AANFSU) affiliated to the CPN-UML, at the Prithvi Narayan Campus in Pokhara of Kaski district.
The clash ensued between the factions close to party Chairman KP Sharma Oli and the senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal during a discussion programme at the Campus this morning.
The injured are being treated at the Manipal Teaching Hospital and the Gandaki Medical College in Pokhara.
Among the injured, Amrit Subedi, Shekher Paudel, Anup Lamichhane and Suman Acharya belong to the Oli faction whereas Binay Rana, Dinesh Dhungana, Bimal Paudel and Bajra Raj Adhikari are close to Nepal, it has been learned.
The students had organised the discussion programme in the Campus in a bid to solve the misunderstanding, informed an ANNFSU cadre.
