KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 4
Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 798,004 on Monday with 812 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 770,224 with 1,000 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,174 with 10 more fatalities.
The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 16,606 against 16,804 a day before.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,874 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 5,893 were PCR tests while 4,981 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,234,056 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 218 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,030.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.5 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.
Currently, there are 241 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
The capital district holds the highest number of infections with 266 cases in the country while Kaski is second in line with 87 cases while Lalitpur with 62 cases each today.
So far, a total of 14,158,005 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 7,805,683 have received the first dose while only 6,352,322 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Globally, over 235 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.8 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 212 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
