JAJARKOT: Police have seized nine guns and 31 rounds of ammunition in Junichande Rural Municipality-11 of Jajarkot district on Thursday.

The police recovered three one-nut home-made guns, a two-nut gun, three air guns of small and big sizes, two other guns and bullets, according to the information shared by the Jajarkot District Police Office.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the houses belonging to Chandra Bahadur Shahi and his son Netra Bahadur Shahi in Korta and seized the weapons, according to District Police Office Chief DSP Bhawes Rimal.

He further informed that police seized the weapons along with bullets and explosives kept hidden in the two houses.

Police rounded up both father and son and the preparation is on to register a case against the duo. They will be tried under the Arms and Ammunition Act, police informed.
