KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24

Nepal on Wednesday reported 94 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 273,760.

Of the total cases, 36 are females while 58 males.

Likewise, 71 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 270,139 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.7 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 937.

According to the health ministry, 3,692 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,150,225 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 63 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Tuesday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 273,666 with 110 newly confirmed cases.​​​​

Globally, over 112 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.4 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 88 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
